January Member of the Month Spotlight – Julie Arshonsky
I am so excited to announce that the January Member of the Month is Julie Arshonsky!
Julie has been with Forever Fit SCV for a little over one year now and her progress has been awesome! She started during one of our transformation challenges, and transformed she has. She’s made a commitment to her overall health and fitness and has learned that consistency is the key to staying healthy and fit.
Julie is an amazing tennis player, but found that something was lacking in her game. Since coming to Forever Fit SCV, she’s quicker, stronger, more agile and able to get to balls that she never could before. She’s also learned the importance of stretching and recovery and how that will help her to do more of the things she loves to do for years to come.
Julie is one of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve ever met. She always has a smile on her face at the gym and is constantly encouraging those around her. Julie embodies the ‘pay it forward’ motto and continues to build up everyone in the Forever Fit SCV Family so they can see the same life changes she has.
One of the things I love most about Julie is her positive outlook on life. She really is a ‘glass half full’ person and sees joy in all of life’s blessings. She has 2 amazing kids and an super supportive husband and wants to be there for them for many more years. She knows that in order to take care of her family, she needs to take care of herself….and that is a commitment she’s made to herself.
We are so proud of what Julie continues to accomplish and are so happy to be on this journey with her. We were able to able to catch up with her to find out how and why she’s been so successful and here’s what she had to say:
Craig: When did you start training at Forever Fit SCV?
Julie: I began training at Forever Fit because I had always been looking for a fitness program but never found one I liked. I noticed some posts by people I knew who came to Forever Fit and seemed to really enjoy it. Playing tennis for the past decade has been great, but I felt like I needed more to help with strength, core, balance, etc. Boy I was not disappointed in trying Forever Fit. I feel like it is exactly what I needed to focus on fitness, while still enjoying it too!
Craig: What has made you so successful at Forever Fit SCV?
Julie: Committing to helping myself and of course all of Craig’s positive reinforcement.
Craig: What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome during your fitness transformation?
Julie: Thinking that I must lose weight to be successful. I really struggle with my weight, but I continue to work hard and not focus on the numbers too much.
Craig: What advice would you offer to others who are just starting out on their fitness journey or have hit a road-block?
Julie: Make it a part of your schedule and keep coming back. Even if you think you have messed up and you can’t come back, you always can. It’s like a big hug from family no matter how long I have been gone. And I am always happy I did it.
Craig: What drives you to ‘KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES’?
Julie: I want to be strong and healthy for me and my well-being and of course, for my family!
