September Member of the Month Spotlight – David Asplund

September Member of the Month Spotlight – David Asplund

David Ashland

I am so excited to announce that the September Member of the Month is David Asplund!

David has been with Forever Fit SCV for over 2 years now and has been crushing it ever since!

David’s warm personality and humor has made him a favorite among the Forever Fit SCV Family and he always comes ready to work.  Over the years, he’s had a couple of one on one training sessions where he never ceases to amaze me with his strength and stamina, not to mention his desire to challenge himself in a very smart way every time he trains.

Most people would throw in the towel and sit on the couch at 7pm after a long commute and a busy day at the office, but not David.  He really knows the benefit of keeping his body in great shape and continues to work hard (and smart) day after day.

I was able to catch up with David to find out why he has been so successful and here’s what he had to say:

Craig: Why did you start training at Forever Fit SCV?

David: I started training in December of 2012.

Craig: What has made you so successful at Forever Fit SCV?

David: I think it is the variety of the exercise and the well designed routines that have helped me stick with it. I don’t get bored and I feel good when I do it – not sore and tired all the time.

Craig: What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome during your fitness transformation?

David: The biggest obstacle for me is getting to the 7:00 sessions, but having something “force” me to get home earlier has been good too!

Craig: What advice would you offer to others who are just starting out on their fitness journey or have hit a road-block?

David: Just to be consistent. A lot of research shows that the social aspect of exercise is a big part of being being consistent and I think that has been really true for me.

Craig: What drives you to ‘KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES’?

David: Keeping fit helps me to better enjoy everything else in life like doing active things with my family, traveling, playing golf…..and, oh yea, eating!

KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES!!!
