I am so excited to announce that the August Member of the Month is Kelley Thomas!

 

Kelley has been with Forever Fit SCV for almost 2 years now and has been working her butt off since day one!

 

Kelley brings a big smile and a great work ethic every day she comes to train and has been as dedicated as anyone during her time with Forever Fit SCV.  She has a strong bond with her 9:30am training partners and loves pushing the envelope a bit when it comes to her training.

 

Between running a business and being there for her three kids, Kelley has found a way to make staying fit a priority.  Staying pain-free and injury-free is a big reason for Kelley’s dedication and the confidence she gains and the friendships she’s formed help her to KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES.

 

I was able to catch up with Kelley to find out why she has been so successful and here’s what she had to say:

Craig: Why did you start training at Forever Fit SCV?

Kelley: I saw a girlfriend of mine that I hadn’t seen in a while and she looked amazing.  She told me about Craig and said there was no running involved.

Craig: What has made you so successful at Forever Fit SCV?

Kelley: Craig is who I give credit to.  I have tried other gyms and not been successful.  Craig makes workout out fun and simple for the new people, but teaches different levels for the more advanced.  The routine is always changing so you are never bored.  I also love all the people I work out with.

Craig: What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome during your fitness transformation?

Kelley: I think my biggest obstacle is having a busy schedule.

Craig: What advice would you offer to others who are just starting out on their fitness journey or have hit a road-block?

Kelley: What has helped me is scheduling my gym time in my calendar.  I try really hard to not make appointments during gym time.  I am a creature of habit, I don’t even like switching the times or days I go so I try to plan my schedule around the gym.

Craig: What drives you to ‘KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES’?

Kelley: I have had different issues with sciatica and hip issues.  When I work out that pain goes away.  So not only do I become pain free, but I see changes in my body.  I have been with Craig and Forever Fit SCV for almost 2 years now.  I joined for my 50th birthday.  This really has become a way of life for me.  It gives me confidence to feel stronger, look better, be around friends and be healthier.  I LOVE IT!
