April Member of the Month Spotlight – Casey Gordon

April Member of the Month - Casey Gordon

April Member of the Month – Casey Gordon

I am so excited to announce that the April Member of the Month is Casey Gordon!

Casey has been a part of the Forever Fit SCV Family from day 1 and I am SO PROUD of her hard work and dedication over the past 2+ years.  She is truly one of the nicest, most caring people you will ever meet and has a knack for motivating the entire family on Facebook with her humor and wit.

She has endured a few challenges on her fitness journey, but she has let nothing stand in her way and has challenged herself to complete a 5K and all of the in-house challenges here at Forever Fit SCV.  And in the process she has become one of my best friends and I look forward to seeing her continue to progress and make changes!

I was able to catch up with Casey and ask her about her successes and time here at Forever Fit SCV and her responses, as always, kept me on my toes and made me laugh!

Craig: Why did you start training at Forever Fit SCV?

Casey: A few years ago my daughter got really into training for races and Crossfit.  I saw what a positive effect it was having on her life and was inspired to do something for myself.  Craig has such an inspiring personality.  I knew this was the best fit for me.

Craig: What has made you so successful at Forever Fit SCV?

Casey: The community.  Everyone is so friendly and encouraging.  It’s like a family.  The fittest family you’ve ever seen!

Craig: What is the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome during your fitness transformation?

Casey: The diet and my knee.  The transformation challenges have been great for keeping me accountable.  Craig is also really good about customizing each workout so that I can do the moves too.

Craig: What advice would you offer to others who are just starting out on their fitness journey or have hit a road block?

Casey: Stick with it!  Push through it.  You can do it.  You’ve got this.  Success doesn’t happen over night!

Craig: What drives you to ‘KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES’?

Casey: The way I’m looking and feeling.  And the little devil, Coach Craig, sitting on my shoulder saying, “Kathleen!”  I know I’d better KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES!

Don’t forget to give Casey a high five when you see her and congratulate her on being the April Member of the Month!
