Are you INSANE?!

Have you heard that quote before?

Of course you have!  It’s been floating around for years on billboards, in magazine ads and in commercials.

But have you ever stopped to think about how it applies to you and the goals you’ve set for yourself?

If not, then today is the day!

How many times have you set a goal for yourself, something that you REALLY wanted to accomplish?

Hopefully, a lot!  If you are not setting goals for yourself, then you are just surviving and not growing, but that’s another blog post in itself.

So, once you’ve set a goal for yourself, what do you do?

Do you map out a plan for how you are going to achieve your goal?

Do you think about the roadblocks that will stand in your way and come up with ways to deal with them?

Do you give yourself a deadline to achieve your goal?

If you are like most people, probably not!  You probably just set a goal and expect it to magically happen.

Or, you set a goal and you change things for a week or two, then go back to your old habits.

Basically, you keep doing the same thing over and over.


In order to get different results, you need to do things differently.  You need to CHANGE SOMETHING!

If you want to lose fat, you need to change your nutrition and exercise habits.

If you want to get a promotion, you need to work harder and go the extra mile at work.

If you want to have a better relationship with a friend or loved one, you need to spend more time with that person.

The list goes on and on.

Basically, you need to KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES!!!

That is our motto at Forever Fit SCV.  You have to constantly change the way you do things in order to achieve your goals.

Here’s an example.  Let’s say your goal is to lose 20 pounds of fat.  The first thing MOST people are going to do is start ‘working out’.  So you start ‘working out’ 2 or 3 times a week and expect the fat to just fall off, right?

Well, it might at first.  You’ll probably lose a few pounds.  Maybe its fat, maybe its not.  But the number on the scale is going down and that’s what the majority of people care about.

Now, what about your nutrition?  Have you changed the way you eat?  Are you making smarter choices throughout the day?  Are you having protein with every meal?  Are you eating enough fruits and vegetables?  Are you drinking enough water?

If your not, that’s INSANITY!!!

You are doing the same thing and expecting different results!

The body does NOT like change.  It wants to stay the same and it adapts quickly in order to do it.  It called homeostasis.

So if you want to change your body, you need to KEEP MAKIN’ CHANGES!

You need to change your eating habits.  You need to change your exercise habits.  You need to change your exercise program often.  You need to keep the body guessing so it can’t adapt.

Is this an easy process?

Not always.

Mapping out a plan is the hardest part.  After that, its just sticking to the plan that takes hard work and determination, which is something that ALL OF US have the ability to do.
